FAQ
To confirm availability, we recommend submitting your service request at last 14 days in advance for boarding, transportation and afternoon adventures. For dog walking and drop in visits, we recommend 5 days in advance. For event chaperon services, we recommend booking minimum a month in advance.
For boarding requests, we require a meet and greet to make sure both you and your furbaby are comfortable with them staying in my home. Because I have two resident dogs, it's important that all personalities and behaviors get along. We typically start in my fenced backyard to give the dogs space. We first meet on opposite sides of the fence; once we see positive body language, we let the guest dog into the yard. I keep my dogs leashed during this process to give your pup plenty of space to sniff and explore at their own pace. Afterward, I’ll show you the indoor space where they will be staying.
We understand that plans change! Because we reserve time specifically for your pet, we require a 48-hour notice for all cancellations.
Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before service are subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total service cost.
Because holiday spots are in incredibly high demand, we require a 7-day notice for holiday cancellations to avoid a fee.
Yes, we do! We welcome pets with varying disabilities and are highly experienced in administering oral medications, topical treatments, and injections (like insulin) according to your vet's strict instructions. In your request, please share any specific mobility needs, behavioral quirks, triggers, or special handling routines. We want to ensure we tailor our approach perfectly to keep your pet feeling safe, comfortable, and completely stress-free.
We love keeping you in the loop! You will receive an update after each visit or daily summary during extended stays. This includes a report on food/water intake, potty breaks, overall mood, concerns and, of course, plenty of photos and videos.
To ensure the safety of all pets in our care, all dogs must be up-to-date on Rabies and vaccines. You will be required to provide these documents before your service booking.
Yes, we do!
Your pet’s safety and well-being is our absolute top priority. While I am certified in Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid, we have strict protocols in place should an emergency or medical concern arise:
Immediate Communication: We will call you immediately if your pet experiences any health or medical changes.
Veterinary Care: If your pet requires professional medical attention, we will transport them directly to your designated primary veterinarian, or to the nearest preferred 24/7 veterinary urgent care if your vet is unavailable.
Prior Authorization Required: To ensure seamless care, we require all clients to notify their veterinarian in advance that their pet will be in our care. This ensures the clinic is aware, there are no surprises, and they can provide treatment immediately—even if we are temporarily unable to reach you in an emergency.
During our onboarding and booking, we will collect your complete veterinary information, emergency contacts, and medical preferences to keep on file.
We understand that flight delays, traffic, and unexpected schedule changes happen! If your plans change, please communicate with us as soon as possible so we can adjust.
To Extend a Stay: Please contact us immediately to check our availability. While we always do our absolute best to accommodate extensions, our availability depends on our current bookings.
Late Pickups: If you are running late for your scheduled pickup window, please send us a text to let us know. Late pickups outside of our standard windows may be subject to a nominal late fee, or your service may be transitioned into an additional night's stay depending on the time of day.
Because we plan our daily routine and other pet arrivals around scheduled times, open communication is key! We will always work with you to ensure your pet remains safe, comfortable, and cared for until you return.
No, we only board one client's pet(s) at a time. It is incredibly important to us that your pet receives the highest level of specialized, individualized care and attention. By focusing entirely on one client at a time, we ensure a low-stress, tailored environment where your pet gets all the love, exercise, and dedicated supervision they deserve to feel completely at home.
At this time, we do not offer recurring or full-time daycare services. However, if you are looking for occasional or "one-off" daycare care, please feel free to reach out to us! If we have an opening in our schedule, we are always happy to check our availability and see if we can accommodate your pet for the day.
To keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible, please bring:
Food: Pre-measured or in a sealed container with clear feeding instructions. We have plenty of delicious treat options available here for them, but if your pet has allergies or a specific preferred treat, please feel free to pack theirs as well.
Medications/Supplements: In their original bottles with clear dosage instructions.
Comfort Items: A favorite blanket, bed, along with a few favorite toys.
For cats, please also bring their litter and litter box.
We provide clean bowls and fresh water. We can also provide a crate if requested, or you are more than welcome to bring your pet's own crate if they prefer it!
While my resident dogs are most comfortable sleeping in their own rooms, your dog has the freedom to sleep wherever they are happiest. Whether that is in their own crate, lounging on the couch, nestled in a dog bed, or even if they need a designated room of their own to feel safe and settled, we will accommodate them.
To ensure we can give every client our undivided attention and to avoid any service overlaps, drop-off and pick-up times must be confirmed in advance of your stay within a 1-hour window.
Yes, we do! While our meet & greets cover a big part of the introduction, we can also accommodate trial stays at a lower nightly rate. We highly recommend a trial stay for longer, extended boarding stays—such as vacations over a week long. This gives your pet a chance to get comfortable with our environment and routine, ensuring they are completely happy and settled before you head out for a longer trip!
No! Meet & Greets are included in the service packages that require them.
While we provide highly attentive care, there may be brief periods when we need to step out for short errands. Before your stay, we will discuss your pet's comfort level with being left alone. If your pet has separation anxiety or cannot be left unattended for periods of time, please let us know so we can plan our schedule accordingly. With that being said, your dog will never be left alone while outside, and I never leave your dog and my resident dogs alone together unattended. Your pet's safety and supervision are always our top priority.
